A photographer lab: a wide open space full of books, cameras, prints, wires, pegs, vinyl smells.
Two architect’s home: articulated spaces, specialized, orderly, measured, dimensioned to the minimum for maximum functional equipment.
Deep spacial and functional transformation.
The original denisty is kept in functional richness, fluidity of circulation granted by using wide full-height walls, made of polished white wood, which change the space distribution while sliding: kitchen-dining room can turn into a single area but have their own divided space. The wall unit’s central diaphragm, separating the living room from the salle à manger, becomes a screen for home theatre. Rooms are envisioned as places to protect privacy, even from one another (kids-parents). The main bathroom is characterized by a bypass shower dividing the toilet from the sink area.
